The Rapid Action Battalion officials raided Dr Sirajul Islam Medical College Hospital and Padma Diagnostics in Malibagh of capital Dhaka and found evidence of gross irregularities and forgery. The officials led by executive magistrate Sarwoer Alam, found that both the institutions are involved in forging medical test reports.
The government launched a crackdown after scams of Regent Hospital, Shahabuddin Medical College Hospital came into light.
The officials raided the facilities on 25 August. The Dr Sirajul Islam Medical College Hospital was fined 30,00,000 taka. They found hospital did not maintain the requisite protocol for tests and kept samples in an improper way.
